Default Magazine Question

I have a magazine I would like a time frame of when it came in use. It is marked FXO it has the waffen stamp with 37 stamped on it twice and PO8. It has a black plastic bottom. It has about 80% to 90% of finish left. Any help and a approximate value is appreciated.

TIA

Barry

Barry, The plastic bottoms were authorized in June 1941. They started to appear somewhere about the U-Block Suffix, in most peoples opinions, however some think they appeared in the Q-Block Suffix Lugers. Either way they were used on new Lugers during the last part of 1941 and all of 1942 when Lugers were discontinued. Anything that was made from scabbed parts after 1942 could have just about any of the late magazines. If they were field repalced they could appear on any Luger. Hope this helps. Depending on the condition of the plastic bottom it could sell for as much as $140. This is the last reading on ebay. I think one could be had, if it's nice for $125.
