Default Talking about magazines....

That Black Widow I have been asking you folks questions about has a magazine with serial numbers (not matched to the Luger) on the aluminum base and below it are the script "n" (same as on the Luger) and below that is the inspection number "63", (same as the inspection number on the Luger) under a bird with outstretched wings. Do all Luger magazines have the inspectors number on them?

Thanks,

Bart

Most aluminum military mags after 1933 have the inspector's number on them.

Default Re:Waffenamps on mags

will generally appear on military mag bottoms until about 1940 when the Schmeisser mags appeared and were WaAed on the left side. Police WW2 PO8 mags were not waffenamped, but may have an eagle/F,L,C or K; and unsually have a 1 or 2 stamped on the bottom above the serial number.
