Default Need Help 1939 Mauser proof marks with numbers

I just picked up a1939 /42 mauser luger. I'm new to the Luger world and was wondering if anyone can tell me what the numbers represent under the first two eagle on the receiver. The third eagle has the swastika under it . The two numbers are both the same "63 "

Photos are always a great idea and whenever possible should be supplied. Makes life easier for everybody. But here are some comments.

Your pistol was clearly made in 1939 and bears the 42 manufacturer's code for Mauser.

The first two, what we call stick eagle stamps are first and second acceptance marks. The 63 under them is the designator of the chief inspector. Not to say that this officer actually did the inspection but he was the person in charge of inspections at Mauser during this time. FYI, late in 1939 inspector 63 was replaced by inspector 655.

The Eagle with Swastika is the Final Test Proof. Interestingly, the 1939 code 42 pistol was the first to have this new, what we call Type 3 Final Test Proof. The TP-3 stamp was used for all subsequent production until the end.

Hope this helps.
