Default Luger holster with unit markings

Gentlemen,
I need assistance in identification of a luger holster with the following markings: Unit: 3./J.R.21.26
Maker mark backside I.B.D. #3 1915
It is brown and appears to be in decent shape with no indications of dry rot or water damage.

Thank you,
Ricardo

Ricardo, The unit marking is Reichswehr circa 1920/1923 3rd Company / Infantry Regt. 21 weapon #26

Is it stamped on the front of the bucket / pouch of the holster ?

Ron

Default Holster Unit Marking

Ron,
Thank you. I am told that it is marked on the back between the straps. I had the seller look at it for me. The maker mark is not like anything I have seen fora WW1 holster as was the unit marking. I am trying to find a holster for my 1912 unit marked Erfurt luger from a Baden Regt.

Jerry,
Unfortunately, I do not have possession of the holster and the web site where it is advertised only has one picture of the front (checkpoint charlies). I called the seller for additional info. The holster maker info that he provided me didn't make much sense to me compared to the other markings I have seen, however the seller sounded fairly familiar with luger holster.

Well then..I would want to see it before making a buying decision. maker marks in between belt loops are common but Unit Marks? I don't recall EVER seeing them there.

Charlie is a good guy..I would ask for pertinent pics or just buy the holster to inspect it..with a return policy.

Default Luger Holster

Jerry,
I will see if he will send but before I ask him does it look to be in generally good condition to your trained eye? He said that the leather was still soft and that the straps were intact.

Thanks,
Ricardo

Ricardo..It is so hard to determine an accurate condition from one dark photo. There are things I see I like, the shape of the toe.. and the roughness on the edge of the magazine pouch is a little concerning. The closure strap is a little long..I have seen them this way or it could be stretched..There is just too little to see in one pic.
