Carbine case help!
I am building several leather carbine cases for a client. 1902-1920. One is pictured in International Lugers.
I am trying to find out what material these may have been lined with. I am certain these cases had a lining of some sort but it is a mystery to me what it may have been in the original cases. I suspect, felt, canvass or perhaps a close cropped shereling wool. If any of you members have an original case and care to educate an old holstermaker I would appreciate it. Thanks, Jerry Burney

Jerry,
The carbine cases I have had were lined with close clipped shearling. Your Airborne Pal, Tom A |
