Happy New Year Fellow Collectors,
I recently came upon this holster for my collection. I was not aware that pig skin was used to make Luger holsters. Any opinions or history lessons would be appreciated. I can send additional photos if necessary just could not post them here. Thanks in advance, Vince |

Hi Vince! Yes, it was a substitute standard material.. DLU is one of the more prominent, erg is also around but more texture, and bdg (maybe bcg?) and E.G. Luner are the only others I am familier with! Nice holster..... best to you, til...lat'r...GT

This is a super looking pig skin Luger holster.
![]() GT is correct. Makers of Luger pig skin holster are "DLU", "erg", and "bla". There are also many other types of holsters made of pig skin as well though. Very nice find! Matt ![]() |
