Post 1914 Erfurt rig update

Following the advice of forum members I went back and examined the 1914 Erfurt more carefuuly looking for the additional data they requested. The serial number is 6xx with no suffix--all matching on exterior parts--the holster is stamped with a Crown over III--inside the flap is marked B A XI--I've seen this same mark on my Father in Laws Holster that he has for a 1917 DWM-I could not spot any date on the holster. I also closely examined the two magazines that were with the 1914 and they matched the serial number with one having the + sign on it--The loading tool had mp marks on.The total rig was priced at $1295.00-What do the forum think of this price? Thanks for all the advice--it has been a learning a learning experience!

Thanks for the update. This 1914 is in the "original" batch described by Jan Still in his classic Imperial Lugers. It should also have an unreleived sear bar and TWO proofs on the clip bottom on either side of the serial #. Even if the holster is not original for the period, this is a very good deal. If you don't want it, I'll gladly take it!

A good buy if you have inspected it and are confident in its originality.

Treebeard:

The holster is definately of WWI manufacture and issue. The B.A. XI mark is, no doubt, in stamped. It stands for the "Bekleindungsamt" (clothing procurement office) 11th army corps, Kassel. The X1. Armeekorps was comprised of Hessian and Thuringian regiments.

If the rig is original and the condition right, the price seems reasonable.
