Just for clarification, are you looking to sell your Borchardt pistols, looking to buy more Borchardt pistols, or looking to trade your pistols with another collector (or collectors)?
Also, if possible, do post some pictures of them. You don’t get to see a Borchardt very often if you don’t own one.

Wolfgang,
I have been collecting Borchardt serial numbers for years. Unfortunately many of my notes are hand written and not organized as they should be. I am in the process of collecting them all into a spreadsheet on my computer but I am only about half way through the list. In addition to the serial numbers I have notes on condition, accessories, dates and location of observation and other data. Not all of the guns have complete data as I could only collect what was reported. I have lost count of how many I have recorded, but it numbers in the hundreds. Perhaps your request is the stimulus I need to complete the work . As time permits, I will start working on it again but I can't promise a completion date. I will attempt to enter all of the serial numbers and make them available, then add the details on the individual guns at a later date. I won't make any promises when the numbers will be available but I will make a reasonable effort. I would very much like to add your Borchardts to the data base if you would be so kind to send them to me in a PM. Any additional information about condition, accessories, etc. would also be appreciated. I have a cased Loewe Borchardt, #897. The gun is quite nice, but the case and accessories unfortunately are not in quite as good condition. Best regards, Ron

what my intention is .....
for my actual research, i'm trying to create an c-93 timeline.
interestingly 1893 to 1895 i found some milestones in patentdeclarations and newspaperarticles (scientific american, arms and explosives, prometheus). 1897 an fixing point with the swiss trials, an arms and explosives article, LÖWE DWM transition, but then i'm lost, loosing resilent datadetails.... so i hope to get more informations for my timeline by checking the serialnumberstatistics. maybe we can see/find some serialnumber/productionyear correlationes. by the way, if someone has infos, pls let me know i'm interested in newspaperarticles, advertising brochures, and all ideas in finishing my c-93 timeline ..... |

The next important tests took place in November 1898 and from these four pistol types only the C96 was still involved. The C93 was already replaced by DWM by two very early Luger prototypes (Borchardt-Luger SN 4 and 5). For the tests of 1897 three C93 were available. One of them had the SN 1. From the other two pistols no SN are recorded in the files of the Swiss Federal Archives (or elsewhere, at least to my knowledge). In the collection of the former Waffenfabrik Bern is a C93 with the SN 95 (Loewe). I assume that this is a pistol from the tests of 1897, but there is no proof for it. Alexander |

Be still my heart!
I'd *love* to own a Borchardt, but they're way above my pay grade. Heck, I'd settle for a model or a BB pistol version! |

Wolfgang,
You have a fantastic set of Borchardts! While many of us only dream about of having one, your pair of C93s are truly inspirig. And congratulations for the pictures! Best regards, Douglas |
