Post My Latest Swiss E-Bay Win...

This is my latest Swiss e-Bay "win"...for only $ 27.00.

It was reported/sold as a Swiss luger screwdriver and even appears in the Eugene Bender luger holster & accessories book, on page 490.

I did hear from a friend in Switzerland that this tool was "not for the luger" but for other Swiss arms...

I thought it a neat little tool and for under $ 30.00...!!!...could not pass it up...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Interesting. It doesn't look like a standard CH-Luger accessory.

Do you know more about it? Could it possibly be an armourer tool?

Hello Panda,

In the Bender book, the caption under the photo of this tool indicates this was an amourer's tool. Bender does not specifically say it was used for lugers. But the two-side screwdriver blades seem to be the right size for grip screws and for the firing pin retainer...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

John,

Here is the link to Stefan's web site :

http://www.swissrifles.com/~swissdag...ndpistols.html

http://home.datacomm.ch/stmahrer/mis...cessories.html

That is a great price he is offering...! And he has very nice pistol rigs for sale, as well...(ok, end of my commercial...)

Although this tool may not be for the luger, the larger end does fit grip screws well and the smaller end works on removing the firing pin retainer from the breech block pretty well...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Borchardt tool from the late 1890's...maybe the Swiss saw this and decided it was a good idea...
