Please Answer This Question!!!
What is your favorite luger you own and why? This is a hard one! Mine is my last! 1914 DWM Artillery because this luger besides being rare survived an entire world war and another hundred years of ownership. Every scratch dent is evidence of use and survival and yes I did shoot one round and its as perfect as I assume the day it was made! Thank You Santa George and Merry Christmas to all our beloved family! Eric

Eric, I guess mine is my first, a 1923 vintage DWM Alphabet Commercial...
Others are more rare, or have more history, but this one was the first...

For me it is the Norinco prototype. Not only is it a rare item, it also connects me to a valued collecting friend who owned it before me, but it was also a gift from a very special person in my life.
And it is like me: ugly but it sort of functions. Last edited by Vlim; 12-14-2017 at 08:21 PM. |

problem is!
Hi to all, all the tooling would do you little good, as it would be a mixture of modern CNC mixed with some crude prototype fixtures that are a long way from production or modern machine programs.. (talk to Mauser on that? It's the same now!)
On Lugers it has always been, and always will be, that, "The last 5% of quality is 95% of the work!" Meaning lots & lots & lots of highly skilled master craftsman hand fitting and effort?... Just ask Eugene! ...!!!!!!!! Where you going to find a program for that!.......til...lat'r.....GT |

Do you have any lugers in your collection that you would never shoot?

Never is a long time for sure; I have lugers I have not shot- but might some day.

George sold me a beautiful shooter that was reconditioned so I would leave my rare expensive lugers alone! I must confess I did fire a few rounds from my 1914 DWM Artillery #1263 AWESOME!! I was impressed with the kick and accuracy~ Eric
