Two interesting auction Sites...
This is the German Egun auction site...
http://www.egun.de/market/index.php Always nice to take a look there and don't worry Luger = Luger Swiss = Schweiz (er) Do a search and have fun. August 28 is the date of the coming up Schweizer Ordonnanz & Militaria auction at Kessler in Switzerland with some real hard to find guns there... http://www.kesslerauktionen.ch/ Enjoy! Thanks, Guisan.

Thanks guys, yep sorry I was invited to look at a couple of posts here and while in I thought it not be a bad idea to respond to another post.
Sorry for doing that announcement Panda but you know how it is when people need time to arrange money, the more early the better. And don't worry I know very little about Swiss Lugers anyway... Thanks, Guisan.

Guisan, Welcome to the Lugerforum... and to be sure you don't misunderstand, Panda is just kidding about the announcement...
Whether you are here to learn, or share what you know about Lugers with others, you are indeed welcome. Enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome John, I happen to know Panda and Pete from another board also so I was not worried about that.
Thanks, Guisan.

Hi Guisan,
Good to meet you here also! Two days ago I posted here a comment about some Swiss books you kindly sold me... Was that the reason to drop in? Anyhow, I think this is a appropriate place to thank you for the quality of the various articles I got from you lately. After unpacking, everything was still better then I expected.

Hi Guisan,
It is okay to mention the other Board where things Swiss are discussed in much detail : http://pub18.ezboard.com/btheswissri...ommessageboard We actually have a link in our "Links & Resources" section to the great site run by Big LEE, yourself, and others... For folks that like Swiss lugers and other Swiss arms, you should spend some time there...until I visited this site, I only thought the Swiss used lugers...boy was I wrong...! And there are many intersting history lessons to read on the site, as well. p.s. Do not forget about our "For Sale" section...you are more than welcome to tempt us with your Swiss goodies for sale... Regards, Pete... |

Joop they were some older postings I had to look at but thank you for praising me for my books and glad that you are happy with the other stuff !!
Pete as you know my Swiss military interest is much wider and when I have something about the Lugers I'm happy to share it here. Thanks for pointing me to the "For Sale" section, most people looking for something specific know how to find me by now so I won't do any extra advertising there. Thanks, Guisan.

Hi Guisan,
This is a bit but... Does the German gun site have a business connection to e-Bay ? Noticed the company logo on both sites are very similar : Regards, Pete... |

As far as I know they are not related and I must say Egun does work in a different way also like not accepting credit cards as a payment for fees.
This is another newer Egun site... http://www.egun.ch/ Look for the differences... Thanks, Guisan.

Welcome to the Luger Forum, Frank. Thanks for the notice. There are many fascinating and scarce, not to say unique, weapons listed by Kessler this time.
Would you be interested in brokering an individual or group bid and buy?

Hi Michael, thanks also for the welcome and sorry no I can't do any brokering as I am no Swiss native.
Most guns with the exception of the antique ones require a Swiss export license at the cost of Sfr.50= and the gun(s) need to be shipped to a official importer/gundealer that also needs to take care of the paper work for importing guns into the US. This all makes it almost impossible for people from abroad to bid on the license-required guns at that auction. Still it is interesting to see what and for how much things are sold there and if you really want certain items contacting a Swiss exporting gun dealer might help. Thanks, Guisan.
