Naval Property Markings
I may be extremely fortunate...I have owned a lovely 4" Commercial 30 Cal Weimar Navy pistol and holster for a few years. Both the pistol, holster and magazine have the North Sea property mark, N.71 applied.(Piece is listed in one of Jan's books, IIRC)
At MAX, I came across a Weimar Naval dagger. Property mark, N.72. Is this a nice piece of luck or what? Tom A Who would rather be lucky than good any day. |

Amazing but NOT cheap.
Speaking of amazing luck, my unindicted co-conspirator has a matching SN/Property numbered pair of '06 Navies. Were not purchased as a pair; he bought one and found the other about 3 years later. Its the only matching pair of '06's I know of SN 5123/5124. Tom A |

Hello Tom,
Awhile back, I had a chance to buy a 1929 Bern swiss luger with red grips with serial # 56776. I passed because of amount of blue wear. Two months later I did buy another 1929 Bern swiss luger with red grips with serial # 56777. Needless to say, I went back and tried to buy the previous luger, but the shop had sold it already. Imagine that : two consecutively numbered 1929 Bern lugers, both on the west coast...and within my reach !!! Pete... |

Pete,
I have often regretted selling a piece but almost never regretted buying one... Tom A |
