That's what I get for not reading the original post again before making a new reply! Your work was simply that stunning, Ted. Still, the pistol is beautiful. I can't wait to see the fully finished product.

Default Wow!

The "in process" photo on the previous page is amazing! The edges are straight and crisp, surfaces are smooth, how do you do it? I am very impressed! This is a great combination of skill and art.

I can't wait to see the completed project.

Ted,
I know you changed out the sideplate, and I am curious. It looks like a Model 1900 with the square top left corner. So is it a 1900, squared up later piece, or repro?

This Luger is finished. Here are the two sides. Looks way better to my old eyes. This sure is fun.

I am duly impressed!! What a nice job on an "old warhorse". The owner should be elated....I know that I would be very pleased if it were mine.

I still can't believe that was the same gun! I wouldn't have been ashamed to own and shoot the gun pre-restoration but wow! The after pictures are simply fantastic, craftsmen like you Ted are amazing.

Default Absolutely gorgeous!

It is really amazing to see it magically go back to its former self, and also exciting to know mine is moving closer in the queue!

Lanyard looks a little ratty though....

The lanyard is only a string tag to identify the owner.
