BATF Ruling On Mitchell Arms Lugers...
A while back (on April 12, 2002) I wrote the BATF on a ruling if the Mitchell Arms S/S lugers might fall under the C&R classification.
I just received a reply, dated 7-31-02,from a Mr. Curtis H.A. Bartlett (Chief, Firearms Technology Branch) that these S/S lugers (by default) do not fall in the C&R status. Later tonight or on Saturday I will fire up my scanner and post this 2-page reply; if anyone wants it for your records. I was hoping to add one to my collection. But they cannot be sold in CA-State, unless under C&R status... <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" /> |

This is happens when you have Liberal Democrats controlling the state. Many guns such as the Mitchell Arm Luger can’t be sold in California because they have not pasted the safety tests required by the state. They’re not made anymore, so no manufacture will pay to have them tested. This was California’s way of eliminating cheap “Saturday Night Specials”.
One state representative recently purposed adding a tax of 5 cents to each bullet sold in the state. Think about this next time you vote. |
