Post 1906 ALTERED SAFETYS

I attempting a survey on 1906 Navy Lugers safety alterations. By this I mean to include all grip safety Navy Lugers

I am interested in the serial number, the style of stamping of Gesichert on the reciever including

1) Is it safe up or down. Down being the altered placement and the P08 conventional placement

2) Is it Stamped Gesichert or GESICHERT

3) Quality of the letter alignment

4) Quality of the alteration (if altered)

5) Does the Gesichert lap into the safety dimple?

All who participate will recieve a copy of the data table without names. If you do not want your serial number to appear let be know and I will delete it.

Thanks for helping.

Heinz,

Unless you have an objection by one of the contributors, I would like to see you publish the results of your survey here on the forum for all potential Navy Luger owners to see...

Thanks,

Heinz,
Should we send you photos, or would you rather have descriptions?

Personally Ron, I think the photo submissions are a great idea... you know a picture being worth...well, you know. Anyone needing help with the photo aspect are welcome to ask...

And once he has them all with descriptions, he could create a Member Gallery Album as a case study! What a neat reference that would be!
