1906 Navy Rear Toggle Pin Flange...

I think I am correct in stating that all 1908 Navy lugers and all 1914 model Navy lugers should have the large, rear toggle pin flange.

But what is proper for all model 1906 Navy lugers :

* 1906 Commercial Navy - large or small ?

* 1906 1st. Issue, Unaltered - large or small ?

* 1906 1st. Issue, Altered - large or small ?

* 1906 2nd. Issue - large or small ?

Would especially like to hear from 1906 Navy luger owners to let me know what they have on their pistols. No need to mention serial numbers, but it would be helpfull...if you want to have an "x" for one of the numbers...such as, # 280x...

Hi Pete,
I have the 1906 Navy I bought in Chattanooga and it's a 1st issue altered, crown M, unit marked, and marked Germany and it has a small flange pin.

Hi Pete:

It is my understanding that the wider toggle pin flange is unique only to the model 1914. When it comes to Navy's Tom Armstrong is THE MAN!

Boy...you have been gone for a long time ! Glad to see you on this Forum, again !!!

Actually, I think most folks agreee that all 1908 Navy lugers and the M1914 Lugers (1916 and 1917 dated) would all have the large toggle pin flange.

But I am trying to find out what to expect on the 1906 Navy variations...

Mike Krause, a local luger expert in San Mateo, CA, told me this part weekend that the small toggle pin flange would be correct on all of the 1906 Navy pistols. Just wanted to hear more from guys that actually own some 1906 Navy lugers.

Tom, Derek, and Leo had their great Navy luger collection at the recent SE NAPCA event in TN a month ago. I think the Navy Cabal concensus, now after a bit of discussion, is that the 1906 Navy luger should only have the smaller flanged pin.

p.s. Have you picked up any more Lugers in your travels ? I have had to move into a larger gun safe...luckily our spouses loose track of the in-comings... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

The 1906 Navy (All variations)has the small flange pin.

Pete, I concur in the above. For anyone needing the larger flange axel for a M1908 or 1914 Navy (I've also seen one of these receivers used on a 20 Commerical), I had a few repros made up @$25 each. TH
