Post Politics & Shooting

I've realized the perfect combination, the blending of two distinct opposing disciplines, the absolute best use for politics in its most basic form and the manly art of firearms: You pick up all those trashy plastic political signs with the push in the ground wire frames, take them to the range, staple targets to them, and
fire away. I put three hundred 9mm and seventy-five .45s through one a little while ago and it can still be used again. With no effort I'll have forty or fifty of them before the week end is over.

Damn!
I never thought of that, but given our political woes in this country at the moment, I like the idea!
We got a state election in a few weeks, its getting dark and I'm going political sign huntin'.
Do you think the local candidates will notice? <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

What a simply GREAT idea because post election none of the advocates for those candidates care enough for the environment to take them down after they have bombarded us with them along the highways... They simple deteriorate in place.

The absolute epitomy of recycling at its best!

They work great! Just got to be careful you don't hit the wire, if you hang the targets right they will last several times. I've got seventy or so of them, lots of folks waved and blew their horns when they saw me "cleaning up" the right of way.

Yeah, but my wife sure doesn't like for me to do that. She wasn't happy at all about the last time I got run over, she says I won't make it the next time, I go by that the odds are way against it happening twice.

Hmmm... RK now you got me thinkin'.... A political button would also make a neat target for a Luger, at say... 50', pinned to a piece of paper. They give them away for free don't they?? ... just need to hide my face when I pick one up .............. 2004??

I'm on an automated govt distribution systen cause of working for an Army JROTC, have to maintain all that info stuff, I get 25-30 CD ROMs per month, have to "destroy" the outdated ones, , excellent targets. Easy to hang with that hole in the middle with a tack. Great for big caliber handguns and long range rifles, very easy to see, register hits well too.
