Default New to the game

I traded for a 1916 DWM luger, with 1916 dated holster. It appears to have all matching numbers, that I can see, except the clip. I realize the photo isn't the best, but it was in a hurry. When the paperwork goes through and I can pick it up, I'll try to get better. I'll have the kid help.
I had a choice between this one and a 1917 artillary luger with holster and stock. One was a straight trade and the other I needed some cash. I have sort of put a hold an the artillary model.
I also wanted to become a bit more framilliar with lugers. It is quite a daunting field in some ways. I'll be interested in others opinions on the piece. Thanks

Hello Chip,

Now that you've gotten your feet wet. Welcome to the forum. There's really not much to say until you can post some clear photos of the markings, etc. And give us a more defined discription.

We will be happy to help in any way we can at that point.

Congratulations on your 1916. Ron

Hi Chip. Welcome to the Lugerforum. I totally agree with Ron Smith. To make an educated evaluation of your Luger, we will have to see many more photos of the markings, and finish.

I don't know what you paid for your first one, but the one photo looks pretty nice.

We will look forward to seeing more of that gun.

Don't listen to these guys. They don't know anything. That Luger is almost worthless. I suggest you trade me even up for my 1920 Commercial. It's very RARE.... ;-) lol

She's a beauty and a fine way to wet your feet. In fact, it's a fine peice for those who have a full collection... :-P

I can't wait to see the artillery gun.

Welcome to the Forums.
