Mauser Commemorative Luger
Back when Interarms first offered these in the early 1970s I was seriously tempted. But they were priced at a multiple of what a nice surplus wartime Luger went for, so I passed them by.
Forty-five years passed… And one came up at auction, starting bid $700. Gavel price $705. Final cost, all told, of $730. It’s in my safe. Patience is a virtue. Pics: Kyrie |

Dear Kyrie,
Congratulation for your very early Mauser Parabellum 29/70 model. There are some aspects of your pistol that really belong to the first weeks production and that were discontinued with the standard production. I don't know if you are aware that a big portion of the original Mauser production books are available and this allow certify the pistol providing a very accurate production period. Please have a look here: http://www.lugerlp08.com/mauser%20pa...tification.htm If you want to receive more information please contact me: mauser.archive@gmail.com Cheers,
