Exclamation Another Otto Sindel holster reproduction, 1938 Army

This one is a repro for sure, and in army style not the police style shown in this thread:
http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthread.php?t=35077

Only received this holster today as part of an auction buy, but have seen these on ebay for some time as low as $25 or 30 shipped.

Quickest tell is the cheap quality/weight of the buckle tongue and roller; and the spotty leather color where it was boned to shape.

I'm going to put some color on this one and stress and distress it a little and come back with another set of "aged" pictures.

The construction is quite different where the loops are attached, seems they eliminated that "tell" by sewing them to the back piece before assembling the holster; or maybe created an easier one!

The mag pouch is a little large and not up to snuff for leather quality or sewing, but the body leather is quite nice. The tool pouch is quite bad- thin leather and poorly stitched; which seems to be common with all the repro holsters I've seen, the pouch is almost an after-thought.

Belt loops are sturdy but obviously un-used; light in color on the back and rough.

The eagle is a little improved, but the P 08 may not belong on a 1938 holster? It also has a WaA 91 added that the others don't have.

A luger fits quite well and easily, and the mag pouch is generous(i.e.too big); likely a result of earlier complaints as related in the other thread regarding the black 1941 police holster repro.

If given a better buckle, more attention to the tool and mag pouch , stitching, and smoother finish and color, the holster would be outstanding on its own! Especially at $25.
