Post barrel scribe

Please direct me to a site where I can view real or correct scribes verses skewed or redone scribes and a explanation as to if all luger barrels and frames were scribed or if they started after a certain date. I am looking at a 1902 fat barrel sn 22269 in good shape everything matched except the magazine. The barrel has the scribe mark but can't see the notch on the frame. I'm suspicious. I want the weapon but I think I'm about to get ripped. Can anyone direct me to such a site. Thanks Sambo

Our esteemed member Dwight Gruber has done a lot of good research on this. PM him and he will probably send you all the info.
