P-08 variation Navy
at auction on Gunbroker.
(I have no connection with the sale of this gun) An interesting variation. Long-frame and no chamber date are proper (Still, "Imperial Lugers"}. Difficult to tell in the photo, but it appears that the side plate may have a military-style serial# placement. --Dwight |

Dwight,
I sent off for more pictures on this gun and its rougher than the pictures indicate. His $3200 reserve price is a bit high for the condition. But to some people, the unit marks might pull up the price somewhat. Personlly, I always buy the gun and not the unit marks. So I might be a bit biased. I'll see if I can pull the pictures off of my email. Big Norm |

Big Norm, if you have problems, e-mail them to me and I'll post them for you,
(gots to earn my 2 cents some how) Ed

Big Norm and Tom,
Thanks for the followup. I had figured to let it ride and see what came of it on auction, I'm really glad to see the condition and know the reserve. Yes, that amount seems quite a bit too high to me, although the gun is certainly in -much- better shape than my own Navy. Guess I'm not going to worry about trying to chase it... --Dwight |

Hey guys, don't thank me. Thank Ed. I didn't know how to post the pics from my email and he did the work. Thanks Ed.
The reserve price is the price that the seller set when he originally posted some time ago. He may have lowered it since them. The seller has reposted this gun three or four times. Big Norm |
