This Luger lanyard is now posted on ebay. Looks interesting.
As interesting as you might find it..it is no Luger lanyard. No more so than any other equiptment strap or piece of twine. Anything could be used as a lanyard and often was ...such as bread bag straps. But to call this amalgamation of straps, buckle and hooks a Luger lanyard is a far stretch in my opinion. The German Lanyard for most pistols was made of round leather up untill the P-38 lanyard in WW2. I can't say where this seller got information that this scrap of junk is a Luger lanyard or that there is anyone fool enough to pay 500 bucks for it but he is seriously deranged. It would take quite a story to convince me... Jerry Burney

I too own one of Jerry's lanyards, Bought it just to display in my custom case, with my luger, Love it. It looks period, And the craftsmanship is first rate. Bill Masterson.
