Post Correct Holster Info Needed

Hey guys. I joined some time ago but have rarely had the chance to review your site. To brief everyone, I just purchased my first & only Luger about 3 months ago (I collect German WW2 things...): it's a Mauser Luger dated 1938 (matching numbers with one matching magazine) and it came directly from the vet's spouse.
I tried to buy a 1938-dated holster on E-Bay, but everyone & their brother bids well above $300 for these babies. I was informed by a local collector that any of these yeard 1937, 1938, or 1939 would be "correct" for my Luger.
I just paid $140 for a mint condition brown leather, 1937-dated luger holster.
Did I screw up before checking with the Luger minds here on this site?

If you got an original brown 1937 holster in MINT condition, I would say that you stole it for that price... How about posting some photos of your collection of ONE and it's holster here on the forum so we can share your good fortune?

BTW waradmiral... welcome to the Lugerforum!

Waradmiral, your collector friend gave you correct information. Any of those dates would/could be found with a 1938 dated Luger. Sounds like you got a "steal" on that holster! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
