Information
I was wondering if anyone would know how to find out any information on Generals that were in the U.S Army in 1950?The General i`m talking about recieved a luger in 1950 and i`m trying to find some info on him.

Try www.google.com. Enter his name at it will give you a bunch of people under that name.

That was a good suggestion, if that doesn't bring anything up, go to yahoo then military then US Army and look try a search, which will probably show nothing (as this will look at current documents), but then try to look at West Point or other forts. Also, which might be the easiest, (except for the obvious of their name) do a search for Army Historian...

Generals of that Period (1950's)
are almost guaranteed to be graduates of USMA at West Point. They may have a biography on him.

I hate to say this, since I'm not an Aggie, but Texas A&M claims to have produced more generals that West Point. I'm sure they would info on all aggie generals.

Generals' Finishing Schools...
include VMI (Virginia Military Institute for you yankees), The Cidadel in Charleston, SC and a school in Vermont whose name escapes me at the moment; and finally, every land grant public university was required to maintain an active ROTC program.
