History Of Mauser
Hi,
I found this website www.thetruthaboutguns.com had an article about the history of Mauser from it's founding to 1945. Thought the stuff about pistols would be interesting for the forum. Aldo35 |

The article's at:
http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/201...-told-pistols/ The article has a number of errors in it. Better to get a copy of Jon Speed's book "Mauser Pistolen"... http://www.amazon.com/Mauser-Pistole.../dp/0889354510 For example, the "G" date is from 1935 and not 1936, and he mixed up the M1934 and the M1910 in his pictures. This is what a model M1910 looks like:

I hate these sites that have a constantly updated sequential URL.

And if you want to hear the real story, wait for our new book
Until now, we found no trace of original documentation that supports the 'Feederle' claim, for example, but many original documents that show a greater involvement of Paul Mauser himself than previously known. Some stories just continue to be reproduced by authors without verifying them. |

Until the new book comes out, take a look at Mauro and Gerben's website:

A shame that I don't read German or English! I can hardly wait for it to come out in American!
