Default DDR Marked Barrel

A friend of mine showed me a Krieghoff which he bought as a DDR Luger, under the barrel lug among other markings, there is the word KOTT stamped, does anybody know what it stands for please?
Alf.

I don't find "KOTT" as a DDR abbreviation or marking. I am unfamiliar with that marking.

West-German Import marking. Probably Kett for Kettner, a German reseller.

""Apart from being 'that place', it is probably the abbreviation of the West-German importer ""
Vlim, I can't see your last reply on the forum, but I got it in my email notification.
Yes I think so also, it was on two Lugers in the same place.
Thanks.
Alf.

Gentlemen:

Frankly, this word reminds me more of the accuracy level I have obtained with my two P-38s.

Vlim:

A Bundeswehr Major told me that the talk among the troups was the following:

P-38 was an Army code word for: 7 test shots and one free-hand through!
