How does the AIMCO LUGER shoot?

I have a Mitchell AIMCO that I have done a little shootng with. No complaints, although I cannot say I have fired it enough to provide a real test. Gotta get out and do that.

I have a 6" that I like to shoot. It is not like shooting an original but a very acceptable substitute that you don't worry so much about breaking a part.

I have an AIMCO that I purchased about a year ago. While it works "ok", it does seem to have some jamming and feeding problems, which may disappear after I have shot it more. However, I got it as a "shooter", so that I wouldn't have to overwork my favorite WWII 9mm. I still like the WWII 9mm the best, but its also well broken in.

Took my Mitchell Arms (Aimco) Luger out shooting last week, and forgot to take a loading tool with me. It took two of us to load the mags, one pulling the spring down while the other inserted the cartridges. The spring is so stiff I almost blistered my thumb. I got quite a few failures to feed. The next time I took it to the range I used a loading tool, and this time there were no failures to feed. It seems that it is very important that the cartridges be inserted in the mag very precisely, and you need a loading tool to do it correctly.
