I guess my code 42, which is actually a genuine, matched code 42 (of which there are many thousands), must be the next to the last one anywhere in the world!

Still laughing . . .

Under "General Discussions", check the thread labeled "Gilding The Lilly". You'll find an extended discussion of the same ads.

Does anyone know of anyone who has actually bought any of these crappy lugers from Mitchells?

unfortunately I think we have had one or two new members over the years who have shown us their 'rare' gun and although we 'tried' to be polite, i don't think they stayed...

I hate to see the pricetag on a luger that is truely rare.

Well, Mitchell's is making money, so they must have a good advertising campaign.

Wow. I didn't realize Mitchell's was screwing up Lugers as well as K98s. Wonder if they've got ahold of P-38s too? Hopefully they'll never become C3 and start destroying full auto weapons!

These folks obviously took the advice of Canada Bill Jones, the famous confidence artist, riverboat gambler, and card shark who so eloquently stated,

"It's immoral to let a sucker keep his money!"
