Can anyone tell me about Gerard Henrotin's books on Lugers? He seems to have published several but from what I can tell they are written in French. There are many color photos of Lugers on the website for downloading even if you can't read French. Some were published in 1996. Are they worth buying? Is he reliable?
Don't have the URL but type his name in Google and you will find him. As I said, if nothing else, he has some beautiful pictures to look at. Thanks to all, Joe |

I only have his e-books. They are very good as far as my opinion goes and well worth the modest price (about $7.95 each). Go to http://users.skynet.be/HL-Editions/index.html
and follow the apropriate links to find them. They are a good series of books to have. Keep your passwords in case your computer dies. Then you can replace them at no cost. |

Hello Joe,
I have a copy of Henrotin's book. I confirm that the book is written in French. What is interesting in this book is that Mr. Henrotin uses a CAD tool for drawing all pictures in the book. In other words there are no pics, only very good designs made using a particular software. The quality is good and this is the only book made in this way. Ciao

Hello everyone,
Just a few words to clarify about the publications hereover mentioned. G©rard Henrotin is the author of a French printed book on the Luger which title is : La Connaissance du Luger. When entering the internet business, he began publishing several ebooks on the subject in English. To date, five ebooks (electronic downloadable ebooks) are available on the Luger pistol. He also wrote several ebooks on other firearms such the Mauser C96 or Soviet Makarov and Tokarev, etc. He is now working on an ebook about the Colt 1911 pistol and .45 Colt early prototypes. All those titles (in English) are available here : http://users.skynet.be/HL-Editions/ebook/liste01.htm Regards H&L Publishing |
