Default Extertal sear pin.

I have a 1915 double date 1920, DWM. There is a tiny hole in the rail above the sear, where the safety comes up. Several of my other lugers to do not this feature. When the safety is on, it is flush with the rail where this pin hole is located.

Looked at several exploded diagrams, and none show this feature.

Any ideas?

Many thanks.

If your Luger had a police sear safety, it would look like this. Yours may have had the sear safety removed or the hole may have been drilled but never used to rivet a sear safety on.
