It is a Weimar marking...Infantry Regiment 12, Company 13, Weapon #2

I believe it's the other way around; 12th company, Infantry Regiment 13.

You are correct George, thank you...sometimes my fingers get ahead of my brain. I just chalk the errors up to advancing years, and then forget about it.

Interesting; I would have thought that it would be in descending order of hierarchy: Army, Regiment, Company, Platoon, Squad, Weapon, or some such. Learn something here every day. Thanks, guys.
