Post .17 Rifles

Has anyone here used one of the new .17 rifles? Would love to hear about your reaction to this gun.

I just saw my first one yesterday. 2500 FPS ! ! !

Luke,

Picked up a Marlin in stainless a few months back. Just finished installing an adjustable trigger in it, I love the rifle. Haven't had the opportunity to wring it out at 100 yrds yet, but at 50 it's one ragged hole with 10 rounds. And your soooooo right... it's a cooker... 2500 . I can't wait for squirrel season!

Hello Rick,

Thanks for the very comprehensive comment. I just saw my first .17 rifle this week and, coincidentally, one of my friends from Florida who was here yesterday had just bought a Winchester 9417 which uses the 17HRM ammo. Compared to Lugers they are not expensive, and I suspect they are fun to shoot.

Regards,
Luke
