Please contact me Via E-mail at; mailto:viggogdereng@juno.comviggogdereng@juno.com I have one of these Great Rifles that is a One Hole Shooter on a 1000" Range. My problem seems to be very simple, There appears to be no record that a rifle with this serial number ever existed, is one digit above any record that I have been able to find. Who can help me trace the origin of this rifle? I Need Your Help, Please! ViggoG mailto:viggogdereng@juno.comviggogdereng@juno.com |

The targets are scaled to replicate 100 yards when firing for qualification with an M-16. I once did so in 1967, or there about, at Fort Lewis, Washington. |

Thanks for the information Tac and Doubs.
A number of years ago, 1940 -1960 era this was the preferred Indoor Target Range for .22 cal three position competition. Most were equipped with several prone and sitting Mats, Standard Arms Table, and several Bench rests and a well lighted Target Backstop/Lead Trap I preferred the Bench Rest and achieved a 5 shot one hole target with a C-C of .015", all X's. After equipping the rifle with a, "Custom Self Made", 13 Power Scope. ViggoG |

After replying to your email last week, I spoke with Harrison on another rifle and brought up yours. He also pointed out that 2010 M1922 models were mfg 1922-24 and nearly all of these were Modified to M1 configuration due to a serious design flaw (and many even modified further to M2 if they were still in inventory). As the pictures you sent didn't clearly show the receiver markings, you will be able to tell if yours was one of these by the "M1" stamping being applied in such a way as it is obviously additional (different typeface size and style), and that would put yours in the 1923 mfg year, but still definitively an NRA/DCM sales rifle.
