Default Shooting Artillery Luger at 200 yards

Well here are the results:

Artillery Luger with stock at 200 yards.

Bench rest resting gun on jacket .115 grain Winchester FMJ.

I shot a total of 9 FIVE shot groups with rear sight settings

at 200 and 300 meters.

Target size: 2' wide by 3 1/2' high which is too small.

Group Hits Group Size Rear Sight Setting

1 --- 4 --- 29" --- ?

2 --- 3 --- 27.25 --- ?

3 --- 4 --- 15.5 --- 300meters

4 --- 4 --- 27 --- 300

5 --- 3 --- 14.5 --- 200

6 --- 3 --- 25 --- 300

7 --- 4 --- 11.5 --- 300

8 --- 4 --- 16 --- 200

9 --- 3 --- 19.5 --- 200

Total of 32 hits out of 45 shots

Rear sight setting at 200 meters : Average of 5" below the

point of aim.

Rear sight setting at 300 meters: Average of 10.5" above

the point of aim.

Average difference between 200m and 300m settings: 15.5".

Groups size average:

The 4 three hit groups: 21.6"

the 5 four hit groups: 19.8"

In conclusion, I was not able to shoot one group where all

5 shots hit the target. Therefore I will try again with a larger

target.

I would not want to be 200 yards from someone shooting

at me with a stocked Artillery Luger.

Default Being hit at 200 yards with 9 mm

I think you would be trouble if you were hit at 200 yards.

Interesting question.Thank you for your comments.

If leaving the muzzle at 335m/s (1099f/s) , it will arrive at 183m (200yards) after 0.66 seconds with a speed 235m/s (771f/s). So a regular 8g bullet will then have an energy of 222 Joule at that range. Wich is about 50% less than when it leaves the muzzle..
If trying the luck at 400m (437.4yards), it will arrive after 1.75 seconds at a speed of 170m/s and have an energy of 116 Joule. ..about the same as a .22 on 50m (54.7yards). ..still awake?

FYI here are the results of shooting an Artillery at 200 yards back in 2008.
Anyone have any additional results?

Sure would be nice to try an Artillery with a 8 power scope at 200 yards.
