Default Before and After

I've had this rig for years, the condition of the holster was worse than bad. Pics were sent to Jerry asking if it could be restored, his reply was to pass on it.

As it was already mine, no "pass" would apply.

Purchased a jar of Connolys and went to work. The results were amazing. I'm pretty sure there are blood stains on the toe and they have soaked in and dried.

The holster came with a Mauser P.08 Code 42 dated 1940 that's in 97% shape. The vet that brought it back wrote a letter to his son detailing the circumstances of its capture. The letter was later framed.

Jerry, thanks for the advice.

A word of caution on Connolys. If the holster has much flaking Connolys seems to make it worse. I have found this on a couple of my old holsters. However I use Connolys on most of my holsters. I think I still prefer a good 100% Lanolin. Bill
