Happy Birthday-Georg Luger
Pretty amazing he was born 153 years ago today (March 6th)and most of us have something at our homes he invented-A Luger Pistol! What a work of art and a fascinating piece of machinery and one hell of a weapon for its time. The Luger-A Legend that lives on, be it at Ralph Shattuck's place or firing on the Range or whenever several Luger people gather to discuss this great machine! Thanks Georg! You made a lot of people very happy (So did the World of Lugers Trip this past weekend, lol) ~Thor~

Re: Happy Birthday-Georg Luger
I wonder if Mr. Luger would have thought he would still be remembered into the 21 century?
I wonder if he thought that his name would be on billions' of ammo boxes? Happy birthday Georg................ |

Ted?
Was your birthday on Saturday? Happy birthday..hey, let's spend your birthday together again next year. I have gone to a lot of birthday parties before and never have I had such a good time. You have a lot of great friends that are willing to travel all over the country just to spend your birthday with you. Happy Birthday, Amigo. (They really get better each time).

OOPS
Ted, I think I knew it was your birthday, but with all the activity and excitement on Saturday, it just slipped my mind. I have to tell you that memory, unlike fine wine, does NOT improve with age; and mine is following the traditional pattern. Sorry about that, really.
Anyway, happy belated birthday ! ! ! ! And many, many more. Luke |

Ted...........
Research has shown that 3% of email never reaches its destination. Being the thoughtful guy that I am, I am posting this "Happy Birthday" note to you here; just in case you didn't get my email.

Welcome to the Lugerforum Juliet...
I haven't seen you post here before. If you are in-fact Georg Luger's decendent, how about telling us what you know about your family tree...? and how you came to find the forum?
Do you or any member of your family own any Luger pistols of rare identity? Do you have any other photographs of Georg other than the ones we already have posted here? Thanks, John Sabato |
