Default New to Me 1921 DWM Info and Help

Good Morning All,

I recently picked up a rather nice 1921 DWM it's Unit Marked
5./A.R.3.30.

The Pistol is very nice overall with some moderate holster wear it's Matching minus the Toggle Wrist Pin which is marked "03" one grip panel is unmarked and the other is also marked "03" ( all I can think is the two Pistols were apart next to each other and dang a bit of part swapping happened )
bore is very nice clean with strong rifleing

I saw some info on the 1920 and 1921's that called these "Sneaks"?
Any info / comments on the Pistol?
Also what does the Unit Marking translate to?

The Veteran which brought this home was attached to the First Special Service Force, 474th Infantry Regiment Co B

I was going to try and see if there was any documentation between the two Units any tips on where to dig up that information?

Thanks in advance for your help and comments

The grip strap marking indicates 5th Battery, Artillery Regiment 3, weapon 30. The so called "sneaks" are those Weimar era pistols with no maker's marking on the toggle. "Sneak", like "Black Widows" is a US dealer's made-up designation in order to enhance the history of the weapon.

sneaks - when referred to are late 1920's

the 1921 is one of my favorite, its the only year they used the weimar eagle (I call them the dove acceptance markings)

Nice catch, Weimar army unit marked pistols are tough to find.
