Default Tool stamped WaA 56

I just picked up a 1911 rig with a tool. The tools appears to be WWII vintage and is stamp with WaA 56 under a straight wing eagle. There is also a partial second stamp under the first one as the Wa on the top stamp is not clear unless maginification is used and then it is very clear.

I have never seen a a SE/56 stamp. Is this unusual?

Hello Two Ducks, I have NEVER seen that WaA before!! WaA56 is a Hungarian inspection mark 41/42. I would run away from this one!! Hope this helps!!

Thanks Frank:

Very interesting. I bought the rig as I was most interested in the 1911 and it seems very good, all matching, including the magazine. It came with an interesting holster marked for a train detatchment (1912) and this tool. My guess is that this came back after WWII, and the tool was in the holster. If only the rig could talk.
