And no offense to you, but pictures linked to outside sites disappear with regularity...It is recommended that you attach pics directly to your post.

Here's a post from a moderator regarding this, and an example of a 'lost' pic...

Attach your photos directly to your post by using the "Go Advance" button to make your post entry. Then there is a "manage attachments" button to allow you to post your photos.

Photos that are hosted elsewhere, often disappear when the hosting website reorganizes its holdings, or goes out of business.

In addition, many of the more knowledgeable people on this forum are unable to see your photos posted elsewhere because they access the forum from their place of employment where internet web storage sites are filtered or prohibited. If they can't see your photos, they can't offer comments or advice.

Thanks, and welcome to the Lugerforum.

No. It is recommended that you attach pictures directly to your post on LugerForum so that they will remain visible and Searchable to members even after offsite depositories restructure their formats and the URLs get lost (like in the FotoTime example above).

Or start charging money to view your pics, like PhotoBucket.

Additionally, quite a few members here work in government or military or for corporations who provide them with computers and internet access. To safeguard their work the providers block social media sites, and that includes Imgur, PhotoBucket, SmugMug, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Those members are among the more knowledgeable of Luger collectors; in other words, they are the people most able to answer any arcane questions about Lugers. If your pictures are blocked, they can't see them and are unable to answer questions, make comments, point out irregularities in your Luger, or provide advice on value.

Attaching pics here is a win-win for all concerned. I personally would like to see a photo expose of your G43. I've always wanted one.

past experience has shown that folks who post photos off site, delete them after a while

Maybe they don't want them hanging around after they sell them.

They're your pictures, do what you want with them.

The LugerForum only requests that you attach them to your posts, here.

It's been just over a year ago I first enjoyed this site. I have been viewing recent posts and photos.

Sorry if using the name Sweds was a trigger to anyone. I won't bother posting Finn's, UK, USA or Dainish collections out of respect.

Have a great 2019

I have no idea what you mean?

Did anyone say anything about you saying Swedes?

The entire thread is about you insisting on posting off site.

Who cares? And as it says above, all the posts disappeared.

Well the pictures disappeared, just as we said they frequently do!!!

I sure wish I knew what caused all the non-ruckus about Sweden and the Swedes.

I didn't know I was supposed to be offended by being called a Swede, it's actually one of the least offensive names people call me.

My favorite character on The Muppet Show was the Swedish chef.

We all owe Sweden a debt of gratitude, after all, they brought us Ikea and the Swedish meatball.
