Post Turkish HK's...???

Well John D.,

Your comment about the Turkish HK wooden grips in the "Reno Gun Show" thread got me back into my R. Gibson book.

All I can find, there, is the mention of some "Ates" marked extractors on some early S-codes...Gibson seems to summarize they were replaced parts, possibly by the Turks, and not at the factory. Gibson summarizes this since the observed "Ates" parts were not unumbered or proofed.

Has new info/documentation come out to further reveal this story...?

Are those unique wooden grips found only on the Ates-parted HK's ?

Thanks for the continued education...
