fng christmas
New to forum and attempting to make my education as painless as possible. Have enjoyed reading your excellent info. and am ready to get what I've always wanted (of course, a Luger). Starting with a shooter, possibly http://www.auctionarms.com/search/di...temnum=6326342 Would appreciate your treasured opinions. I consider that $625 is the max I should pay. Thanks for your time, John.

Read this mans feedback and make your own decision, but his excellent grips have a chip missing by the safety, would down grade grip discription alone, Merry Christmas

John , Policeluger is giving you great advice. This guy is trouble.
Look around. There are a lot of nice shooters around, at decent prices. If you're not sure about one that you may be looking at. Do exactly what you did this time. Post it and get advice. A lot of the members would be happy to help. Don't get burnt on your first one. Ron

Another problem I see is the serial number "may" have been altered. A real potential problem here.

Kelly,
Yes, a problem I have way too much experience with. It still bites when I think about it. Ron

As you've mentioned, I did notice that he has 38 neg. feedbacks in 1500 transactions. His lack of detailed pictures and wording in his description is also a tipoff. I've been burned before on these auctions, but my brother describes me as an obsessive compulsive personality when I have a "bidofilia" relapse. I'll continue looking and try to absorb more of the valuable knowledge available in this forum. Thanks to all, and Happy Holidays!

I have found that the best place to buy is from guys on the forum you trust, 2nd best is gun shows / shops, because you can look at the item....
