Mostly alot of old revolvers. Colt,Smith maybe H&R and Ivor Johnson. Jennings Auto possibly and A Glock? I didn't see a Luger unless I missed it.
So they built this with guns from a buyback?
I was hoping to see more modern gangster street guns like Uzi's and Mac-10's. Instead it looks like they mostly disarmed the elderly

Actually with these scattered around the area, its actually almost a pro-gun statement, even if they did not mean it this way?

In the early 60's at the Illinois state fair an old fellow had an old time panel truck on display.

It had hundreds of pistols fastened all over it. Mostly cheapo pieces like seen here.
There was a C 96, I believe.
All heavily coated in black paint and drlled and screwed into the frame.
Dunno what became of it.
Is there not a piece in Norway or thereabouts consisting of hundreds of K98s welded into a pile?

Good one! Wouldn't the elderly tend to have older (more collectable) guns?!

Ed, I gave my post that title; it's not the title of the "art'. I thought it was a shame to destroy possibly interesting collectibles. I was thinking in terms of that old post about an extremely nice Luger about to be chopped up in Great Britain. That shame was known/documented. This one is mysterious, due to the concrete treatment. But I'll bet there are some formerly decent guns in there.

Not in Norway I think..
There is a company called Landrø who bought up 14 500 captured K98's that where in military service. They still have them listed for 950NOK (165USD). Many officers/solidiers did as I did, and bought ours directly from the military for 500 NOK (87USD).

I agree with Patronen.. looks like they have disarmed the elderly, indeed a pilar of shame.

There are a number of sculptures made from the german weapons left behind.Heres the digital gallery , am not sure if the sculptures are featured but I have not been there for about 4 years now so I may make the trip soon and get some pics. I do remember all the K98s all welded up with barbed wire or something..

As I had a child and wife free day today I took the opportunity to head into Oslo and check the resistance museum, sure enough by the entrance there must be 300 or so k 98s welded up into a sculpture. its dusty as hell and to be honest looks a bit neglected but its there,

I found a radio set that made me laugh, If anyone is in the area and hasn't been to the museum I recommend the visit, some sobering stuff.

Man that hurts seeing that. All them K98's in there. I think I'll go cry now! I hope it dont ever get to be that way here.

If one should make art out of firearms.. at least make it have som esthetic value, this "scupture" just look like a mess.
