Great piece! I too love the Hsc. It is a great gun, with a great history. I want to get one of the recent manufactured pieces(1970's). I had one a long time ago but stupid me, I sold it. Great to include other guns in this forum. Now if we start talking SKS's and AK's thenthere is a problem!!!!

Agree that the Mauser HSc is a great litle pistol and was well ahead of it's time. If it were not for the popularity of the Walther PP/PPK, I think it would have been the priemier small handgun to collect. It is a shame it was only originally made for a few short years. When Mauser did resurrect it in the 1970s, it sold well. Mauser has now released the rights of manufacture to an Italian firm who is manufacturing it now.

I also agree that it is OK to discuss other related pistols here too.

John, The late WW2 HSC shown in your exc photo was only made in 7.65mm (32acp) from 1940-45, but the 380 was introduced in the the 1970 with a few changes to the trigger bar/disconnector system. The current HSC Super (12rd mag capacity) made under license by R. Gamba (Mauser's Italian distributor) even has a few more parts changes to accomodate it's larger size. I purchased Interarms parts inventory for all of the above, should anyone need parts in the future.

My illustration was mainly a mag safety but there is a sear safety pictured. I am afraid that I will have to wait until Monday to correct this and post a good illustration of the sear safety and explanation...
