Exclamation .30 Luger ammo found!

I checked out about 15 ammo suppliers online for .30 Luger, all out of stock, but just found one with 8 boxes in stock! Pricy at $57.75 per box of 50. but I'll buy a box and save the brass.
Check out

Thanks,Bill

At that price I have to think that it is Winchester ammo. That is std. price for it. Fiocchi 30 Luger ammo, when you can find it, sells for $20-24.00. Keep checking Able Ammo(sport) in Texas, as that is where I have purchased it in the past.

For sure keep the brass!!

A guy walked up to my Luger display at a gun show and offered to buy any .30 brass I had...

When I said all I had was what I was keeping he came back two more times asking me to sell it to him. Not sure what part of NO he didn't understand but ext time I will just start with that word... my bad.

This is probably pretty common knowledge on this site but I've had good success acquiring ammo through this site: http://ammoseek.com/

They search all available ammo sites and list it by price. Saves a lot of searching on the web.

I have had good luck with Fiocchi FMJ.

Fiocchi also makes a JSP (Jacketed Soft Point) in .30 Luger, and these also work just fine in mine. It's an other option when the FMJ is in short supply.

I was fortunate to get some surplus Sako .30 Luger from Finland. Good shooting and cheap. The only down side is it uses Berdan primers, not easily reloaded.

Humm, I always had problems with SP in my .30. Hung up going into the chamber and I assumed it was the lead point. Sounds like that is not the case with you. Maybe I should look at somethig else like the main spring or mag spring.

I also have had trouble with the SP.
No trouble with the FMJ.

My DWM Luger doesn't care for the Fiocchi SP ammo at all, but is happy as a clam feeding my 93gr LRN reloads.....figure that one out!! My lead bullets must be a higher Brinell factor(harder alloy) than the JSP, and so they are acting more like a FMJ. The ogive may be part of the reason also.
