Default New Ammo

I just bought some 9mm ammo from our local Wally Mart and it is an unfamilier type. Tulammo 9mm115 grain FMJ brass case noon corrosive boxer primer made in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was only $22 per box of 100. Anyone know anything about this ammo? Is is safe to fire in a luger? Thanks, for the answers. Bill

Not familiar with it, but check to make sure it is "standard velocity" and not "NATO" or "+P" rated. If standard velocity it may be similar to Winchester White Box.

I thought Tula was in Russia... but postings indicate it's just an importer and may be sourcing from Italy and probably other countries.

If it is Bosnia then the manufacturer is probably Seller and Bellot:

That company normally makes very good quality ammo.

Default Tul ammo

Bill, I've used their stuff in 7.62x39 (AK & SKS), and it has functioned fine; however, I don't think I'd use their 9mm in a Luger. Replacing delicate, expensive parts isn't for me. KW

I have seen that brand of ammo for sale, but have no experience with it. Does it state on the box the velocity of the ammo? Can you find out the velocity if not stated on the box? If it is std. loading/velocity, you could give a few a try. Many lugers are ammo sensitive, so to tell you that "X" brand will work in your Luger just can't be stated. Keep us informed.
