Navy proofs
While doing my yearly luger house keeping, I remembered these proof and forgot whether this issue arose before. Its a 1908 #2525b and heres what I found. Did any lugers have simulier marks? Tks Eric

Thought someone would have answered you by now. Drug mine out of storage and it has similar stamps but different. My 08 is 500 numbers before yours so guess that is the reason for the different inspection stamps. Where you have a G mine has an F. Where you have a R mine has a K. Where you have a L mine has a L. Where you have a T mine has a M and very close to the M is a funny looking character I can not figure out what it is and just past that stamp is a X or Y, not sure. Where you have a W mine has a U. Grips Where you have a C on the right grip I have a D and a N plus the last 2 digits of the serial. Where you have a C and X on the left grip I have a 5 and a N plus the last 2 digits of the serial. Hope this helps. |
