Default What are interacts lugers

I have seen a few on gunbroker. They look nice in the. I thought interarms was and importer. Are they refinished lugers or new manufacture? They say mauser on the box, at least the ones I have seen.

Are you on a cell phone with auto correct?

There are Interarms Lugers - which were made by Mauser in the 1970's - there is an entire book on them - first batch were refurbished but vast majority were new made but in a few variations.

Don't worry. If you like it, buy one of those Interarms Luger. They are post WWII production. Very very few of them are refurbished -- modern firearm collecting actually started after WWII, and a whole generation grew up storing gun without firing a single round from NIB guns, just storing them. So you see lots of them NIB. Amazingly, not only many Interarms are stored this way, I just found many Norincos are also stored this way. I have not met a reblued Interarms Luger yet (probably there are a few, but rare).

The Mauser made Lugers that Interarms imported are very well made. They are patterned after the Swiss design, and were adapted directly from Swiss plans and tooling. Later versions took on more of the appearance of the P.08 (partially at Sam Cumming's request).

They were so well made that they cost too much to manufacture, and eventually were not a cost effective product for Mauser. They are not valued like original military Lugers, but have their own niche in collecting.

I am on a cell phone. Sorry for the autocorrect.
So they are actually post war mauser that are imported by interarms? Sounds like it would make a pretty nice first luger that I wouldn't be afraid to shoot once in a while. So many luger flavors available. Makes it difficult to pick.

John

Mark in two lines described these beautiful modern Lugers. I agree with you that I wouldn't be afraid of shooting one of them once in a while.

Regards

Sergio

They are built with modern steels and are a blast to shoot. They are very well turned out as to fit and finish.
