Went looking for
a gun/pistol range here in Lincoln, NE to checkout my newly acquired Luger. The only range available (local parks and recreation) mgr stated "only .22 and .38." Asked where 9mm can be used, he replied "Omaha", which is 50 mile or so from the state capitol. The parks & rec mgr said since "9/11, things have tighened up." Wondered if that was others experience.

I am on the board of dir. for California's newest and largest gun range, in the high desert area of So. Ca., there have been no restriction from 9/11, and while Ca. is steeped in rules and regulations, we are open and doing business as usual.....p/s we have open ranges to 600 yards.

Chuck, inform, in a nice way, the moron managing the range that a 9mm IS a .38 calibre.

The best thing to do is as George said, then ask why?
why a 38 and NOT a 32, or a 30 Luger or? Do it in writing and to several people there. what would 9/11 have to do with what caliber you are using? Ed |
