Is this an LP08 or a P08 with .22 cal conversion unit? I have a similar photo of naval officers shooting with a .22 cal converted P08.

This is a .22 conversion unit installed on a standard P-08. I don't have my graphics software available at the moment but I have examined this photo before and when enlarged the toggle knobs are not visible... so it must be the conversion unit breech with the small extensions where the knobs ought to be...

Good Job Ron!
I think another giveaway is the fact that the soldier in the background is pretty close to being directly to the right of the muzzle and doesn't seem to fear the blast... a sure sign that it is a .22 and not a 9mm.
